SIDEK Quick Share Function

With Quick Share, you can instantly share images, videos, and files with your friends. Share files with up to 5 people at once, no device pairing is required!

Step 1: Ensure that the Quick Share feature is enabled on both devices. On the second device, open the notification panel by swiping downwards, then tap Quick Share to activate it. The icon will turn blue when it’s activated.

If you don’t see the Quick Share icon in your Quick settings panel, you may need to add it.

Step 2: Open the Gallery app on your device and select the image you want to share. Tap the Share button, then choose a device to transfer the image to.

Step 3: On the other device, accept the file transfer request to complete the process.

Step 4: If you're having trouble connecting to another device, swipe down from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings, then touch and hold the Quick Share icon. Tap the switch next to "Show my position to others" to make your device visible to nearby devices using Quick Share. This option will only appear if Quick Share is enabled.

                                                        

Please note, that the "Show my position to others" option is available only on select models of the phones.

Tips for Using Quick Share:

  • Enable Device Visibility: If you're unable to find your device, make sure Phone Visibility is turned on. Go to Settings > Connections and toggle on Phone Visibility to make your device discoverable to others.
  • Share with Multiple Devices: You can share files with up to 5 devices at once, making it easy to send content to multiple friends or colleagues.
  • Keep the Other Person’s Screen On: For a successful transfer, ensure the recipient’s screen is on.
  • Data Charges: Be aware that sharing files over the mobile network may incur additional charges.
  • Device Compatibility: Devices running on Android Q OS will support Quick Share. Available targets for sharing may vary depending on the device model.
  • Wi-Fi Direct Requirement: The receiving device must support Wi-Fi Direct, and it must have its screen on.
  • Wi-Fi Must Be Enabled: Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on for both devices when using Quick Share.
  • File Size Limitations: You can send up to 1GB at a time, with a maximum of 2GB per day for transfers.

With these tips, you can make the most of Quick Share for seamless and efficient file transfers!
